Three reasons why I installed Vista

07/03/2007 12:41:17 / tired

For:
  1. I got it for free, and even legally (MSDN Academic Alliance)
  2. I got a separate hard disk from my friend which I can use for installing all trash on it
  3. It's similar compared to the previous versions of Windows: I saw 'The Blue Screen of Death' three times during the installation before I noticed that I can't install it on a hard disk that is'n set to 'master'.

Against:
  1. My music software doesn't work with it
  2. Kubuntu Linux is much better
  3. I still need Kubuntu Linux if I actually want to do something with my computer
  4. I still need Windows XP if I want to make music on my computer

been running Debian SID for a while by now and today spent some hours on a XP pro laptop (who knows why must have been the hot weather making me nuts lol )  well.. just a few minutes ago I decided enough was enough..8-10 hours spent with XP looked and felt so odd,my eyes hurt for all that blue Win  after all all that I need to do with pc I can do it via Linux

mail:l Icedove and Sylpheed do mail  fine

web: Epiphany and Iceweasel do the web..sometime I use also Lynx

IM : Gaim and Amsn do  IM

IRC : XbitchX do Irc job(lol you can laugh if you wish that's really the name of the program

music: I have Totem,Rythmbox,Beep and Xmms I pick one of these random and they play radios and mixes:)

these are the apps I use the most, anything else such like office tasks, images,cd burning etc etc etc there are plenty of apps windows equivalent that do the job nicely and maybe even better

so I will stick to this os as much as I can and go back to XP only when is really needed and not for much time though

I have got a copy of Vista (I believe it's the "Ultimate" version or something like that)  I am not sure I am going to give it a try, maybe I will do sometime but just for test purpose and I will do like Taleamus...put it on a separate junkie-trash disk :D

about Bill honestly I do not know if he is  the anti-christ or not, anyway whatever he is I truly hope one day I will have a chance to meet him and tell some sweet honey words (lol what a dream hey )..and I  hope peoples switching to alternative OS will increase in number in future, the more peoples will do it,the best chances will be to have proper equivalent softwares that will do well any job (even music production) on any machine and any operating system without problems:)

I only stay on XP because I've a sneaking suspicion that Bill Gates is the anti-christ. Because when he takes over the world the first ones he'll pick on are the ones who deserted him.

Remember that!

Neither on Linux that I usually use. And that's why I've got my Windows systems installed on separate 'trash hard disks' lol

dude after many years of using windows my eyes were opened by stella, dave  and apple mac i will never use windows again,  in my opinion it oppresses freedom of expression and creativity  and is prone to attack by the odd 149,000 viruses that are out there mutating at stupid speeds. ok enough from me lol
