I can die a happy man. I've seen Roger Waters perform the Dark Side of the Moon and I've seen a pig fly. It wasn't easy, it took over a day to recover and I'd do it in a second if given the chance.

Wedding Cards
DATE: 09/08/2006 16:55:16 / MOOD: Other
I'm going to a wedding tomorrow. It's for my friend Dave from High School. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago too. I was looking for a wedding card then and I was disappointed to find out they don't make funny wedding cards? I'm going to have to find a card for tomorrow's wedding. I'm thinking I'll go the totally inappropriate route. Who cares what the card says, it's all about the size of the check, right? I went to this girls birthday party a month ago. I got her a funny card for that one. It had a goofy looking kid with a huge smile and said: "They can take your lunch money, but they can never take your pride" and on the inside: "Hang in there!"

ROCK N' ROLL
DATE: 08/12/2006 10:27:46 / MOOD: Other
Went to a few shows over the last two weeks. Last week Monday I saw Billy Idol, great show, he closed with Rebel Yell. The next day I went and saw The Doobie Brothers. Don't remember much from that one, maybe watched 5 minutes of the show. This week I saw Tom Petty on Tuesday night. Stevie Nicks was playing with him, that was sweet. Petty always puts on a great show. Rolling Stone even called him the most steady man in Rock. After a 30+ year career, thats quite a statement. Then on Thursday I went and saw 311. Awesome show. I've never seen them play live but it was top notch. Their timing was perfect. Of course my favorite part was the drum solo. They had the drummer going with 5 people on bongo's and then they would pull off a bongo from each side until it was just the drummer and a guy on the remaining bongo. They jammed for awhile and then the rest of the band came in right on que into the next song. Today my best friend is coming to town from Florida. We going to his bro's 21st birthday party. We can't stay long though cause then it's off to our friends Matt & Joyce's wedding. It's gonna be a long day. A good day though.

No Plan

I want to go out tonight. There's a party at Corktown called Take Friday Off. Marco Corola, a really good techno DJ from Italy is playing until he wants to stop, which could be awhile, hence, take Friday off. I did not take Friday off, but I think I could wing it if I had to. Probability of going tonight.... 35% I want to go out tomorrow night. There's a party at The Works. T-1000, a really good techno DJ from Detroit is playing. I haven't seen him play in YEARS and would really like to hear him play. The problem with that is I also really want to stay in this weekend and do nothing. I've had a busy party schedule these past couple of weekends. Rest would be good. Probability of going tomorrow night.... 75% I wish I would have taken Friday off like I planned to. All this would be a non-issue.

Pictures from our house boat trip are up. We had 2 72' House Boats we rented from Hendricks Creek Resort. The lake we were on was Dale Hollow Lake on the Kentucky, Tennessee border. It was more fun than I can describe, so check out the pictures. Click here for more!

Picking up the SLACK
DATE: 06/07/2006 18:19:11 / MOOD: Other
In case you didn't know I'm a chronic slacker. I'm just now getting around to uploading Mardi Gras photo's. Mardi Gras was the last week of Feb., it's June. Doh. So if you were expecting results (blogs/photos) from my DEMF weekend two weeks ago, uhhhh yeah, I'm working on that. I've actually started to write the blog out. I'm done with Friday night and just started working on Saturday. Might be a little while on that. Now that I have my camera back from FL I should be making a lot more photo updates. I also found a sweet new digital camera I want to buy. The camera doesn't hit the stores until July though and its super small! Its the Fuji FinePix Z3 if you care to know. In other news: Picked up a pair of Tom Petty tix last weekend.

Ok, here's the deal. I'm going to be changing up the songs on my page based on how much play each song gets. The song with the least amount of play will get deleted and a new song will take its place. I will be taking requests. Just because you make a request doesn't mean it's gonna be put up. I'm going to be putting up songs that I like, most likely we like a bunch of the same tunes. It will be kind of like my song of the week I used to do on my website. I just got bored of that. Here I can get some community interaction on the music I love. The tracks as of now in order of popularity are: Double Dutch Bus The House of God V.I.P. Back to the Hotel Capricorn Wrong Side of Town Mix Most likely because thats almost the same order they are listed in. Maybe I'll mix it up a little so songs get fair play. It would be cool if I could put a Poll on my page to vote for songs but that isn't an option right now without some serious HTML monkey business. So that's it. I DON'T PLAY!

2 WEEKS!
DATE: 05/10/2006 18:36:51 / MOOD: Other
2 more weeks until the DEMF! I've said it before and I'll say it again. My favorite weekend of the year. Not only do we have all the great artist at the festival during the day, then there's all the AFTERPARTIES! I think I'm going to go check out that Shelby Street News club this weekend. Mark Flash is playing there. Awesome house DJ. Saw him play at Grimaces loft a few years ago and I literally sat there and watched him play the whole time. Great track selection on top of excellent mixing. The weekend after that I think I'll stay in and get some rest. I always say that anyways.... we'll see what happens. I'M READY!
