Just picked up a few presales for Roger Waters - Dark Side of the Moon Tour. I've always been a huge Floyd fan and this is the closest I think I'll get to seeing them play live. Of course the band is not complete but I'm guessing it never really will be aside from that Live8 gig they did last year.

The show isn't until Sept. 18th and my seats are about the same seats I had for Depeche Mode last year.

Did I mention I fucking love the summer concert season! I've had my NIN tickets for awhile now. That show is at the end of June. Now I just have to fill up the rest of the season with a bunch of shows on the hill at Pine Knob. Really hoping to see Petty play again. The Allman Brothers are always a good show too.

I won a $100 gas card and got put in a drawing for a Ford Escape Hybrid from the WCSX Work Force! I was on the radio for like 2 minutes so I'm totally famous now. I just wanted to let you know in case we're ever out somewhere and people want my autograph. I have to go to the radio station tomorrow to get my gas card and I have to be at Greenfield Village on the 13th for the drawing.

My phone rang this afternoon and I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. Then Nick called me up and told me what was going on and it was Meghan who was calling from her work number. So I called them up and verified my info and that was it.

If I win that car that would be sooo cool. I'm gonna get some 22" dubs with spinners. Then I'm gonna get those cool neon lights for the bottom. I'll need a gold chain, a golden goose chain.

My buddy Dave and I have a bet going. He say's we will have a tropical storm by May 28 of this spring. I say we won't have one until June 15. We gave ourselves +/- 3 days.

The region we are betting on is the Atlantic - Caribbean Sea - Gulf of Mexico. Our source for info is the NOAA.

There will be a storm named Mike this year. If you didn't know, that is my name! It is also Dave's middle name and his brothers name (RIP). You know that's going to be one hell of a storm. I'll definitely be taking some time off for that one.

My friends threw a party this weekend featuring Three from NYC. It was a lot of fun. The party was held at the Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit (CAID), a small art gallery in the ghetto. My buddy Nick ran the sound.

The party was shutdown just after 5am. The police said the neighbors down the street had been complaining for hours about the noise

After all that we went back to one of my friends and talked Three into coming along with us. He played some wicked tracks when we got back to the house, some of which he produced. Awesome music.

As it turns out it was really my second time seeing Three. I had seen him down at a party my friends threw down in Memphis about 6 years ago. I knew I recognized the name from somewhere. He remembered that party too!

Let's just say Monday was a bit rough. As soon as I got home from work I pretty much crashed for the night.

Starting to plan a trip to Carnival in Rio de Janeiro for next year. I bought a travel guide called Rio For Partiers with lots of great information. I've been emailing the author of the guide and he said he could hook us up with costumes for the samba parades so we can participate.

I was over at my moms earlier and she mentioned we could trade in her time-share and get a place in Rio if they are not already booked for that week. Hopefully we're early enough and we can do that. That would give us a sweet place to stay and cut down on costs, a lot!

If we're feeling extra crazy and I can get the time off work we could leave Brazil and get back up to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. That would be one hell of a two week party. I would need another week off just to recover!
