Learning to Mix

Been playing with mixing some tracks together. My software absolutely sucks for it though. I am looking for different/better software for what I need.

If anyone knows mixing software that I can get on the cheap, please let me know. I am totally clueless at what I need to mix digitally.

Oh yea, it has to be for Mac. If its not for Mac, it isn't good.
