Blog Entry: severaln days before, Olympic Torch was in San Francisco. Surprisingly the CNN broad casted the entire run of 88 torch carriers. Sadly though, they changed the entire route because of the protesters and there were more cops than anywhere else around the torch carriers including two to three police vehicles escorting as well. As the commentators of CNN stated, it was very sad to see how the suppose to be a celebration instead it turned out to be a protective and secretive torch event which the supporters couldn't even know where the routes were to cheer the torch carriers up. As one of the officials of San Francisco said "it was a celebration of our city and our country, why would the violent protesters for political reasons to break the celebration to a sadly secret event." and he then went on "we welcome the protesters as non-violent protesting,as the rights for everyone of the 1st amendment stated, however, if the protesters are violent and tying to break the celebration, then we will step in and use every force to protest the event goes smoothly." i guess that's the most comforting statement i've heard about the Olympics thus far. People are innocent, let's forget about what the human rights issues are with China, let's forget about the so called Tibet problem for once, it is a Chinese domestic problem, not an international issue where every western countries need to care about. Stop treating Tibet as a country, it's not, it's a province of P.R China! Let's focus on the Olympics, for once the human race can come together as one, what right do we have to break the peaceful event from happening?
